VASES & SCENOGRAPHY FOR COLLECTIBLE - FALL 2019

Invited to design a specific installation for the Collectible design fair showcase hosted within the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Sophie Dries presented a series of sculptural vases framed by a dedicated scenographic environment.

The featured pieces centered on her signature material dialogue between raw ceramic bodies and blown Murano glass. Sculpted with a textured, tactile finish, the ceramic vases host fluid glass elements that spill over their edges, creating a soft tension between weight, opacity, and translucency.
