Presented within the exhibition Le Mobilier d'Architectes de 1960 à 2020 at the Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris, Sophie Dries featured her faceted stone stool from the Marble Shades series alongside works by major international architects.

Carved from a block of porous travertine, the geometric piece explores the contrast between the stone's raw, pitted surface and a vibrant blue gradient finish applied across its facets. The design plays on color density and natural texture, turning a heavy mineral block into a dynamic, faceted sculpture.
