Presented by Rome-based gallery Giustini / Stagetti at The Salon Art + Design in New York, Sophie Dries showcased her Polychroma Columna table, a piece exploring the balance between architectural heritage and contemporary material research.

The work reinterprets the classical Roman column, carved from a solid block of travertine using digital CNC technology and finished by hand. Playing on the subtle contrast between heavy, raw stone and colored accents, the design draws inspiration from ancient polychrome sculptures. Conceived for the gallery's presentation at the Park Avenue Armory, this piece bridges Italian craftsmanship with modern design.
